This workshop focuses on the creation of high-definition bronze tactile models, designed to offer an immersive sensory experience accessible to both sighted and visually impaired audiences.
ATELIER JOEL VERGNE specializes in the art of creating custom, inclusive, high-definition bronze tactile models. These are crafted exclusively from art bronze and are intended for outdoor display.
By prioritizing the sensory experience through high-definition architecture copied as closely as possible to reality, special attention is given to audiences with visual impairments. Representing architecture through the vacuum bronze casting method allows for buildings to be depicted with great realism for all visitors.
The program includes: tactile orientation maps based on IGN LiDAR terrain data, relief representations of national parks and architecture, tactile objects and images, historical and archaeological reconstructions, and braille and text signage.
Each project is custom-made in collaboration with archaeologists and architects, leveraging expertise in 3D modeling, precision casting, and machining.
