Museums facing the living: changing perspectives, changing practices

In the face of ecological and social crises, museums are increasingly being called upon to rethink their role in our relationship with the living world. Far from being a mere programming theme, "the living" is becoming a cross-cutting framework for thought one that challenges mediation, programming, governance, and the evaluation of cultural initiatives.
By making the living world perceptible, sensory, and intelligible, museums can contribute to a sustainable transformation of behavior. How can we shift from a top-down transmission of knowledge to a mediation based on experience, sensitivity, and attentiveness? How can we strengthen the bond between cultural institutions, audiences, and the living world?
