What if designing an exhibition was first and foremost about creating a shared experience? At the Dobrée Museum, a museum curator, a scenographer, and an inclusive designer joined forces to create a sensory and interactive journey that speaks to all audiences. This creative collaboration, which began in the initial design phase, made it possible to combine aesthetic excellence, accessibility, and curiosity.
Through their project narrative, the three speakers reveal the behind-the-scenes aspects of a demanding yet exciting collaboration: compromises, prototyping, adjustments, and shared successes. This provides valuable feedback on collaborative practices, the role of inclusivity in the design process, and demonstrates that an accessible museum is a fertile ground for innovation that benefits all audiences.
